old english bantams questions(subject closed)

im picking up three OEB bantams this sunday. two crele, 1 hen and 1 roo both 1 year old and 1 blue hen also 1 year old. im getting them for free, I'd like as much feed back THAT I can get on the breed and careing for them.

How old are they? If they're 4 mos. or older, you should feed them layer pellets or crumbles. I know there is a game bird feed, but I don't think it does any better for them, and it's more expensive. I have some of mine penned for breeding, but I have others running loose in the yard. They're good fliers and like to roost pretty high, so if you do allow yours to free-range, you won't have to worry too much about them roosting.
