Yes, we are a long way from Ten. I am in NE CA. The quake was centered in E Quincy and we are about 25 crow miles from there. I was sort of awake (4:20 am) so I wondered if I had felt some electromagnetic something before like animals do. Anyway, I could graph the way it felt. Like up to a foothill and then shaprly up to a peak and then down to the foothill on the other side. A 4.5 quake is considered "small", but it sure felt big especially since we are in a100 yr old, tall, wood ranch house and I was on the second floor in an iron bed frame on a wooden floor. The hanging lamps swayed for quite a bit afterwards so I guess it took it took awhile for the houde to actually settle down. Our biggest concern is for the brick chimnies. I expected the dogs to be piled on the porch, but they weren't. A fellow on the radio said his dog threw up! Glad he wasn't in my house.
