I have tried several times to hatch my Old English Game Fowl eggs in the incubator. During the winter, one hen went broody, but it was too cold so after 4 weeks she abandoned them. About a month ago, I tried again, and left the eggs where they lay them. After three or four days (or so) one hen went broody. She hatched 7 chicks day before yesterday.
She seems to be a very good momma. She has been keeping them under her wing and gets between me and them if I get too close.
Very cool...
