Hi there. We recently got chicks on Aug 2...and then got a group of chicken hens and a rooster we named...Spike...after. The pens share chicken wire so they can see through and get used to each other...that’s what you do with ducks. I want to make sure they are old enough so go in with others...we plan to let them into the play pen...an area they go free range during the day...and then go to pens at night until adjusted...then we will expand the coop for all the birds. I just want to make sure that about 8-9 weeks is old enough.... thank you. Oh another question...any way to start telling the sex at this age.. we bought them straight run...Chris thinks we have 5 roosters and 2 hens...

Have you been doing the see no touch with the older ones. If so yes they are old enough. If not I suggest doing that for at least a week then integrate them. And yes post pics we can help sex them for you.

Ok I’ll get pictures today . And yes..both chickens and chicks share the fence so they have been next to each other for weeks
