Old enough?

I want them to though. get some new life on the farm. just wondering if they'll actually incubate their eggs during the winter time

She probably wouldn't build a nest at this time of year...I'm not too educated on the subject but I believe if you let her she will wait till spring. just collect eggs now, and then leave her the eggs in the spring when you want ducklings. (not the same eggs  :)

She may lay this autumn, but it is not real likely. A lot will depend upon how many generations they have been 'domesticated'. Do they have access to swimming water ? If so there is a possibility of the hen drowning if the drakes 'team breed' her.

they've got a kiddy pool, and a little pond to swim, dive, and forage in.I free range them. they sleep in the water, and they also mated in the water. Like I said, I'm either getting more females or get rid of the one Drake.
