Came out this afternoon and I can here them chirping inside the eggs. Soo. COOL. MOE EXCITED NOW THAN EVER!!!

Well my idea of leaving the eggs in the nest box to get a broody didnt work, but one hen im not sure which plucked quite alot of fetahers out over the nest box filled with eggs. Is this a sign or will the hen just of done it out of boredum or compfort?

My question about broody hens is this: will a mama let my family socialize the new chicks? Socialization is very important to me as I have 2 young children and we want them to be very used to adults and kids alike. Will a mama go ballistic every day if we handle her chicks?
