Yes, she will get all the chicks.
If you look back a page or 2 and see her. I have 2/13 hatched black/mottled turkey eggs, and I could only put 4 under her.

heavens to betsy that little wyandotte is feisty. I (with the help of my father in law) got her off her nest tonight. She made such a ruccous that all the other chickens came running in the henhouse to see what was going on. I removed the double yolk and the fake egg and marked all the eggs under her with the date and moved them to the corner box (it has NEVER had an egg in it to this date so I think she will be safe in her little corner) She was pretty ticked for a few minutes but we left her alone and she got down and ate and drank. I noticed her comb changing color, I think that is normal...but correct me if I am wrong.

Is there anything else I should do at this point?
Im pretty sure none of the eggs under her are actually hers which I am totally bummed about because she sure is a pretty bird!

Last night I candled the eggs under my broody on day 10 ("Red") and every last one was a dud! That got me really worried for the eggs under Gwen (day 21).

So, today, I picked up 3 teeny tiny chicks and a doz hatching eggs. I put the chicks under Gwen this evening and took the 3 eggs she had. She didn't seem phased and I hope the chicks are okay in the morning. I candled the eggs she had again and they were just a sloppy mess

I put the new eggs I bought (black copper marans and EE's) under Red. Hopefully she won't mind sitting an extra 10 days.

If Gwen hasn't accepted the chicks in the morning, I guess I'll try giving her a few of the eggs I just put under Red.

So what in the world is wrong with my ROOSTER?

Hope all eggs and chickies get accepted by the correct mammas!

At least in the US you can just go out and buy day-olds or fertile eggs!

Might take you a couple of days as well!

My broodie is doing great with her two babies. This is sooooo easy!
The big chickens have already been free ranging with mamma and kids and they are part of the clan now at 2 weeks.
Gotta love it when a plan comes together!

I just checked in on everybody and the chicks look just fine with Gwen! All three went and hid under her when I started poking around in the coop and when I tried to lift her to take a look at the babies she almost bit my thumb off.....a good sign I think!

Red is happily sitting on her 12 new eggs and I see she has been moving the eggs around like she's supposed to. I hope the poor girl doesn't mind sitting an extra 10 days.

Red had been suffering from bumblefoot. I've done two procedures on her, but she was still limping on that foot even months later. One happy side effect of all this sitting for her is when she got up to eat yesterday, she wasn't limping at all! Here's to hoping the extra rest allowed it to heal the rest of the way.
