Day 18 check!! Moving onto day 19 and still no chicks. Hopefully we will have some soon! It has been REALLY warm so Im hoping the chicks will be like ooo lets hatch!

does anyone know of a chart for candling goose eggs? i snitched a couple from our gooses nest in the hopes we can raise them with alot of handling-

meanwhile, licorice is still broody, her eggs of favorolles should be in tomorow, and the cochins in the bator are showing veins...!!

Never seen a chart for candleing goose egss Robin, but if you go to the goose thread, Pete has just about any information you could want may find something there or in the archives. or just post the question someone would probably be able to steer you in the right direction. And where is Barn Goddess haven't seen her on here in a while.
And I love those pics, it's so cute when they ride piggy back and your lil one looks good too.

I'm out taking care of everyone this morning, and I hear a broody cluck coming from my tin shed. There stands "Mama" puffed up!

I know that girl too well

. She will be sitting in the next day or 2 I'm sure. It is what she does and how she earned her name

. I won't be on bedtime duty tonight for the girls. My mom is. Our band has a St patty's day gig. so I'll have to wait till tomorrow to see if she is sitting

Ok this is to all the broody experts out there! My broody is on day 19 with her eggs and I still dont hear peeps or see any chicks. Is this ok? I have heard chicks start hatching earlier under a broody. Maybe Im just being paranoid....

some start on day 19, some on day 21, some on day 23. Eggs can't tell time. I wouldn't worry
