Old Fashioned Broody Hen Hatch A Long and Informational Thread

I went to change her water and food to chick starter and 4 little fuzzy heads popped up.

Can't believe so many hatched on day 20. Am I counting wrong? I set the eggs on 3/1/13 at 6pm. Isn't today day 20?

LOL... Like a wise person once said.... chickens cant tell time...

some can go later too.... draggin their feet.

Here is a Pic of Penny and her new chicks. She was on 7 eggs, but she was attacked by a raccoon or something on her 1st week of setting. Only 2 eggs survived the raid. And they both hatched!

sooo cute. Momma will show them how taking them out of the nest for little forays. If she still has eggs she thinks will still hatch the trips will be short and she will be back on the nest.

I'm back )))))) tee hee hee .
This time my broody is getting refridgerated eggs that are fertile, ( the gal put them in the fridge and forgot I needed them ) any ways I'm putting 8 under her, but my question is how do I warm them so she does not have cold eggs? I'm putting all white under her this time as everyone from soup to nuts wants to lay in her bed, so this way I can take out what's not ours. ( we do not get white eggs)
