Question?
I have 8 Olive Eggers that hatched just a little over a week ago.
Some of the chicks have tail feathers and some don't.
Is there any significance to this?

Congrats to all getting chicks! so envious...my hens use to go broody but they havent since september! I keep leaving eggs to see if I talked them into but they are stubborn. Irony is I have 3 cochins and 1 buff orpington that are know for getting broody.

I have left my broody Marans hen with the flock and on hatching day, the other hens pecked the chicks. They actually killed one before I noticed that they were hatching. I would not recommend leaving them in with the other chickens during hatching.

Too funny who understands it.
I had two hens go broody Tetra Tints, suppose to be a cross between Rhode Island Red male and a female Leghorn, both unlikely to go broody.
On has been broody since December and just hatched all 8 Olive Egger eggs that I gave to her. Also her first time as momma and she is doing wonderfully as a mother.

So who knows!
