Yipes, it's suddenly 36 degrees out there - a bit early for this kind of hot weather. My first-time broody Brahma hen is at day 15 sitting on nine eggs (candled 36 hours ago and all growing at the moment).
We'll water the shed roof and the huge bougainvillea bush next to the door, for evaporative cooling (it's not humid, thankfully). Should I be manually offering her water while she's still on-nest, in case she's not getting up enough? She's not panting right now, which (I'm guessing) is an ok sign.
And will she keep the eggs cool enough if the temperature gets over 37?
It took me a moment to realize you meant Celsius. It's 36 degrees Fahrenheit here with snow on the ground lol. She should keep sitting, just continue what you're doing to help her stay comfortable.
My Silkie girl, Saige (see album in signature), just went broody for the first time on Nov 9! Can't wait till the 21 days are up!!! I'm afraid it's going to be a very long 21 days though!
