Thats great! My girl last year failed so I got her day olds, I was so worried that she would kill them when I went up in the morning. But they were fine! The broody is actually the one that I have been posting pics of with her chicks now!

that hen is so lovely what breed? buff op?Bella is a useless broody, I went up today and she was off her eggs. I went over to her nest and both were pretty much cold. Once I had got there she was out for a further 10-15 mins and then when she went back I got a phone call form my friend so I spoke to them and then went to check on her. I opened the door to find Daisy on her nest (not Bela's fault), so I moved Daisy and Bella was just happily sitting on nothing on the floor. She seemed to have no desire to go back so I had to put her back. She is going to be really, really lucky if she gets anything.
Chicks second day out. Look how angry she was when the phone go too close!

John, as well as having a stunning hen and beautiful babies, you have a spectacular vista. Where do you live? I'm guessing Kentucky/Tennessee.....just guessing to see if I'm right!
