Here's my Silver Laced Wyandotte, Chickie Mama, teaching her Icelandic and Java chicks about foraging. The chicks are two weeks old today and tomorrow. It was 48 degrees this morning, but Mama had them out learning how the "early bird gets the worm" before I let everyone else out!!

My neighbor has a wyandotte broody that just wont quit! She is a very good mama also

Beautiful hen NotAFarm, love how they get all their charges right around them.

heres one of my Brahma with her 2 new chicks, not a very good picture but at least you can see them, will have to try for a better one later.

I know what you mean about trying to take a pic. By the time I got the shot they'd be back under mama, need to glue them to one place for a min. lol.
we're excited with you mrsmaonaigh, few more days till you'll be hearing lil peeps...

I like these pictures too where chick peeks out of moms feathers.
