lol. This little girl, who is named blue, went from always laying her eggs in a designated nest..... to hiding them. I know where her spot is and collect them 6 days a week. She always takes one day off. It's in a REALLY bad spot, so she will just HAVE to adjust to a dog crate. When she finally goes broody.

So to sum up, so far this year, one broody hatch, one sitting on eggs, one sitting for hours at a time, and showing the broody signs, and little blue running around all puffed up, and clucking like a broody a few minutes ago, as well as hiding her nest. Busy spring around here. My guess is by the end of the summer, all 10 will have gone broody. It's how they were ALL born. From broodys.

Hope119 I looked at you pictures, very pretty birds what are the breeds you have. And your broody is very pretty too. I easpecially loved the picture of the fully butts leaning over to eat..

7.... man..... uggg.... speechless.

I have 19 adult hens. 10 are Sumatra's and I have a feeling, they all will go broody during the spring/summer/fall. My RIR's and Black Australop...not worried about them. They have shown faint broody signs, but they have never taken it seriously. My Sumatra hens and roos...the adults. They were all born from broody's. It's in their blood. They are going to make me gray....
