I had 3 bantam mottled cochin hens broody....let them sit and hatch together...they ended up with 14 lf chicks.....all happy as can be.

Here they are almost all babies tucked underneath.

I also have a lf barred cochin hen who is broody. She had 3 hatches last year and is a great broody.

I also have another bantam mottled cochin hen who just went broody a couple days ago. This is her second time broody this year....she just finished raising her last batch of babies 2.5 weeks ago.

Here's my girl, day 5 on 'live' eggs. She's getting up at least once a day. it's pretty funny, caught her yesterday running out, dustbathing for about a minute, then running back to the eggs.

she is pretty featherz, how long now? mine is so squacky when she comes out the brahma hens all gather round to see what the comotion is all about. lol
