Ugh what a terrible picture of me! BLEH! And I am hoping Mojo and Pearl have some babies that hatch in that bunch! Out of those 12 eggs I brought over we know for sure 4 of them were theirs! I'M HOPING!!!! They are the ones I want more than anything to hatch!

Mari lets hope Charlie went on some good "dates" as well....make the trouble he's been in lately worth it all!

And to top it off between 6 and 9 more days 2 more clutches hatching! Whatever are we going to do with all these chicks, if they all hatch that is? (Oh and one duck! LOL) Looks like its time for our teenie boppers to go into the big bird coop! 19 days goes by way too fast people!

My Buff orp Broodies eggs are hatching as we speak. She's sitting on 3 eggs, only one has a hole so far and churping! I'm worried, we have been really cold at night still, should only be in the 20's tonight. Should I bring them in the house or will they be okay? This is my first experience with a broody!

I didn't want to disturb her again to check but here is Roxy sitting patiently. I heard louder chirping though so I'm thinking one of them has completely hatched now. Last I checked there were three that were zipping so I'm sure hoping. Anyways here she is in all her mommy glory.

my little bantam frizzled cochin is sitting on a bunch of eggs from the other hens right now! I thought she was just joking at first, now she's been sitting on them all day and all night for at least 4 days!!!

Unfortunately none are hers.... I don't think she's even laying eggs of her own! There were a couple i thought since they were so small, then i saw my full size cochin lay one of those, so now idk who's laying what.

She made her nest inside their big house in a corner, not really a box... I put a cardboard box over her with a door cut out so she can get out, but she's in the house all 4 of them share, should i try to move her? I was thinking of closing off the house to everyone else and making them sleep on top of it or elsewhere (they're in a big 6X24 run so they've got plenty of room)... ?

Thanks! She really is a sweet girl. She follows me around and talks my ears off. LOL I feel like she's gossiping b/c she has so much personality when she's squaking at me. She hasn't fussed at me at all for messing with her while broody, but let the other hens come within 5ft of her and she sets them straight asap! I've never had a chicken quite like her. When I brought my ducklings outside for the first time she ran up too them, then ran back to me and squacked and squacked. Then she ran back over to the ducks and chirped at them and then came running back to me again just a chattering. The other chickens didn't even notice the ducks but she notices everything and tells me all about it too. LOL Most people think I'm a crazy chicken lady until they see her.

My blue Sumatra just got done hatching a batch of 4 chicks. I took the chicks and gave her more eggs, cause she was driving me nuts. Set those yesterday.

I am dizzy just reading about all the hatching going on and sweet pictures too. Congrats to everyone and keep those pictures coming.. I just finished with 6 broodys and still have 1 to go and today my oldest hen Miss Lydia, has decided she wants to be broody, never even looked like it last year. So I had to take the eggs and take her off the nest which is in the duck side of the coop[ the hens favorite one to] and put her inside the chicken side of the coop, boy was she upset. Shes full game hen and very tempermental. Sounded like she was taking it out on anyone who was close to her. Oh boy. And I have 1 Muscovy hen sitting now. this is going to be one crazy spring. I need more room, anyone have a spare barn they liked to get rid of?
