I think if I was you I'd go ahead and take those eggs out if they explode from being rotten, you'll have a big mess on your hands.

If they were going to hatch they would have by now, so glad to hear she has accepted her little ones. and they her!

x2!

OK will do... poor gal is still turning them, i wonder what i will find inside...

I had to open the remaining ones my hen had moved out from under her, they we partially formed but something had happened. I needed to know. She might just get up and leave them because the chicks will have to eat unless you've done what I did and moved food and water right next to them. If thats the case she'll probably keep on sitting. You never know with these hens they surely have a mind of their own.

Oh what great pics in last two posts, I can't wait till mine arrive. It is day 21 and no signs yet oh I am so impatient and hard to keep away and not peek constantly

Mom got up today - she's pretty pale but I've been giving her scrambled egg when none of the others is looking. I hope she perks up soon. She's being a good mommy and I discovered she actually hatched out four chicks, three grey ones and one yellow.

We have quite a few gnats in the coop due to all the rain, but I can't clean under her yet so I hope they don't harm the chicks.

Are the blue babies BLRW? They are beautiful!!! How much do you have to watch a broody after a hatch? Do they just get weak from all that setting? Thanks for putting up w/ all my Q's!
