Confessions from the Farmyard...

This day feels as long as the 20 days preceding it.
Still one chick, and no outward signs of any action in the other 7, but am really only getting a glimpse when I am a creepy stalker and peel my hen back from the nest.
I am profoundly committed to not doing this anymore, but am having the worst time not doing it.
I want to go do it right now.
Turns out I am well worse than any expectant father I have ever been with...
so impatient...have forgotten all 300 things I read about how long this takes, and best is left well enough alone...
but it is going to be a long day, today...

I know that in the whole of my world, this is the only group of people I would ever spill my most Chicken-crazy guts to, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting up with a FirstTimeHatcher stalker extrordinaire on hatch day.

I did the same thing and it's not any better hatching them in an incubator! Good luck on both the hatching and the patience!!

Thanks Jloeffler! I have already epically failed on not bugging Mamma and have seen 2 chicks! This has actually helped me, as it is proof they are doing perfectly fine without ME!
Was a total jerk and tried to snap some pics, but they are really had to see, and it just made everybody soooo mad...

Am going to refrain from being such a compulsive freak in the hours to come, now I see things are moving right along.
Pray for me...

Thank you everyone, for your sweet comments on my babies -- they are so cute, and very fun to watch
