I just went to the coop-momma was up and had them all out in the broody area. 8 little BO's and 4 BR mix--number 13 didn' t make it

---I found it dead in the pen.Poor little bugger---I buried him. So I guess 12 out of 14 isn't bad. I candled the other egg and there was nothing in it. I will post some new pics later.

how can you make sure your broody is eating enough? my little lady seems awfully thin....

WOWSERS, I don't think I would do that to her. I may be so bold as to put 4 or 6 under her. Maybe. Thanks guys! ^_^

broody update. "15" kept pushing egg #3 out from under her. I ekpt giving it back to her. Well she finally had enough of that nonsense and ate it. Still sitting tight on her 2 eggs. The original 2 she was on.

In non broody news.... one of my 5-1/2 month old easter eggers started laying. 2 eggs in 3 days. The 2nd one is pretty nice for a pullet, but then she is a big girl

Someday I need to take pictures of the Pekins and some Sumatra hens sharing a food bowl. It is TOO cute
