Old Fashioned Broody Hen Hatch A Long and Informational Thread

Here is my Broody girl and her 3 babies. One hatched monday afternoon the others hatched Monday night.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. mama hen is beautiful! i have an EE who looks just like her and lays a nice pale blue egg.

had to show off olivia and lucky again...


and licorice is setting on a dozen and a half bantam fav eggs....

one of my black Sumatra's has been on her nest for hours. fingers crossed that she will be broody #2 of the year. She is in the tin shed , aka "the broody shed" with "Mama".

lol, i'm a little slow...... if you mean my wife going broody....NO! our youngest is 19 in 2 weeks....lol. No more broods for us except grandkids someday.....

Guess what guys!!! My little EE hen was in the nest for 3 hours this afternoon! She yelled at me when I went to take the eggs. We will see if she ges broody! I sure hope she does!
