Yes, we candled last week, took 4 away that were not developing and left her with five. Three for sure were growing and in the other two we couldn't see through the shell very well, so we let her keep those just in case. This is our first time with a broody and I have to say I have never been this impatient!
Awwhhh - such cute chicks with momma! I love that duck! Gorgeous!
Guess what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AFTER A MONTH LONG WAIT!!! Henrietta stayed on the nest ALL night!!She only got up twice yesterday and I could tell she was getting in the broody mood because she was pecking the others and clucking the "cluck"![]()

Well this morning she was still on it. I upset her when I took her "eggs" from her "golf balls" I let her have 3 BSL and 2 of my EEs eggs and 2 of her own eggs. Thats 7 total! I would have put more if I had not just set 20 eggs in the incubator!!![]()
If all these hatch I will be overrun!![]()
That is a gorgeous duck!
