Old Fashioned Broody Hen Hatch A Long and Informational Thread

Also if your weather is warm like ours (90F to 100f) then you could try more. The things you need to think about include will she be able to cover them all after hatching to 4 weeks old if it's cold outside, and can she manage them without interference (turn them herself) or will you have to help?

i got her for free since someone was taking care of my hens and they all got killed by foxes so she gave hens to me so she could of went broody before .. i will take a pic if you want bobbieschicks

Is she a silkie? My Topsy is a tiny, even for bantam size, silkie. For her 1st time I gave her 5 eggs and she hatched out two. Of course it could have been because they were shipped eggs. But I think she is just so tiny it's hard for her to manage more eggs.
