ok, I stand corrected. They are moving about the coop and I count 8. The 4 remaining eggs are in the bator. Not holding out a lot of hope for them. But if any hatch they go directly to mama red!just delt with some broody RIR caos. The mama who just hatched went to take her lil ones out and the other mama RIR called them under her. So I interveined. Had to. Blocked off the babie stealer and cleaned out the new mama's nest. Gave her her lil ones back. I didn't count. I think she has 10!
what are you going to do with the egg? or is she back on the nest?Broody hen was off her eggs with two chicks and all the other eggs are cool and one is starting to hatch.
i hatched the baby my self and idk what to do with it now any ideas ???what are you going to do with the egg? or is she back on the nest?
keep it warm and slip it back under her when it is darki hatched the baby my self and idk what to do with it now any ideas ???
X2 or give it to another broody if there on one sitting on infertile eggs....keep it warm and slip it back under her when it is dark
that doesn't always work. I've seen too many broody's kill chicks that weren't theirs. Back to their own mother is the best thing to doX2 or give it to another broody if there on one sitting on infertile eggs....
