Old Fashioned Broody Hen Hatch A Long and Informational Thread

One of my crazy broody strain of wyandottes and her mixed brood......

this wyandotte is on her second brood of the year. This one is from two abandoned eggs left by an impatient gamehen.

:) Last night I put an egg under my Black Austrolorp who just started sitting... I want to get another egg but my mom wont go back to the lady's house... maybe tomorrow! It's light brown,Also, I'm convinced 2 of the 6 are boys... not sure about the other 4. I know 100% one is a girl.

I used a mini mag light for quite a while to candle. How long has she been setting? By 7 days you should be able to see veining in the eggs if they are light colored. by 14 you should see the chick swimming around.

Thanks but she ended up letting the eggs get cold
