I think she or he just wants the company. Maybe she thinks that Topsy is the black chick that got killed since they were inseparable. I don't know - but it's annoying to me. I would think it would be annoying to Topsy too - but she's taking it all in stride. Maybe Topsy is happy to have the added warmth in the nest box. I know one thing, if Topsy gets upset about it that white silkie will be out of that box fast.

Im 99% sure Melow isn't in the field so if she is alive she will not have a clue how to get home poor girl, Mebys she will love ruff if nothing gets her or mebys i will get a shock and she will appear in a couple of weeks but its starting to snow so she would struggle to survive, sorry for your loss's, it's horrible isnt it? not knowing if they are dead or alive...

well there is 2 hens to find there way home now, but i just know they are dead , although if it was a fox adleast their bodies will be together now.

All four chicks are Topsy's and the partridge silkie I believe. I don't remember any one else mating her.

I know she's so proud of herself.
