My Scovy girl is broody and was sitting on 4 goose eggs well after 2 weeks of sitting and no growth in goose eggs I did the ole switch-a-roo and gave her scovy eggs, other than sitting a bit lower in the nest she didn't seem to mind a bit.

I gave her duck eggs we have no rooster. As of right now she's in the run, she hasnt gone back in there since I changed the crates out . I just stuffed the cat crate with the same hay that was in the crate. Boy I sure hope im doing this right!!!

Keirys-- I'd do what ML says, give the other broody a few eggs. If the moms will sit together, it's not so bad. My 2 moms here each take care of the babies, it's the sweetest thing.

Congrats stony kill

Yes I did I went ahead and put the chicken in the cat carrier & waiting on a dog carrier for the duck to get here. I am hoping this works

. My dh asked "if the chicken hatches a duck will the duck act like a chicken"

I had a runner duck that had lived her entire life with a flock of chickens. She thought she was a chicken, certainly. But she adjusted to being around ducks eventually.
