Okay- silly question- but once momma duck hatches her eggs, nest is done and so forth- how long till she lays again? and how many clutches, nests should she have every year? does it depend on the breed? Thanks all!

Snownoir do you sell, eat or just love keeping ducks? or all the above? and I may have to agree with you on broody's my 2 youngest are both laying one 1yr this month the other 1 yr next month neither one have shown any interest, nor my oldest ducks which are almost 9yrs old. it's all the ones in betweenI did another count this morning. My broody scovy hen is on 15 eggs. The other hen slowing into broodiness, she has started to disappear at night under the shed. I have NO clue how many she has under there. My third scovy hen hasn't even given it a thought. I'm wondering if its cause she's at the bottom, or doesn't like all the areas set up for nests.... Has anyone noticed that to be the case? The girls on the bottom just don't brood up?
