Old favorite hen acting odd and smells terrible!

She's acting even better than yesterday, still improving! Only concern is I noticed on an old towel I have in her little hospital crate has pinkish light colored blood. Probably just the sore back there bleeding some? Oh and her droppings are very runny. But color looks normal.

Could be a few spots of bleeding from the scabs.

How are you treating it now?
Keeping the wound covered with triple antibiotic ointment?
I'm still soaking her twice a day. Very upset last soak I seen severely tiny tiny maggots. I'm talking tiny. If she makes it through this it'll be a miracle. Giving her tylan 50 as well. Spraying her wound with chicken wound spray starts with a v. I haven't been putting ointment on her wound just yet. Because of all the baths I've been giving her. So upset over the tiny maggots. I feel defeated

:hugs I'm sorry that the maggots are not gone yet.
Keep going, you've got this.

@Wyorp Rock after i bath her she makes a grunting crying noise like she's in a little bit of pain maybe? I can record it
Oh dear:(

Is she constipated?

Yes, of course, record it so we can hear the noise she makes. Upload to youtube, vimeo or similar platform, then provide a link.

Have you seen any more maggots today? I’m sorry you saw a couple the other day.

@Wyorp Rock would ivermectin drops help at all in this situation? If the maggots feed on flesh wouldn’t they get the ivermectin into their system and die?
