Was wondering if any of Yall can give me an idea of what my boyfriend bought for $100.
Works great and keeps temp. Just need to know what kind of egg holder and water system to put in it

it looks like you place a bowl of water into the compartment your thermometers are sitting. Something shallow like a cat litter tray

You need to place a thermometer at the top and one at the bottom to check it is roughly even, check the front and back too although it looks well made but the front is all plexiglass so in a cold room it might lose too much heat.

Does the egg turner work? If it does that would be great, all you do then is place egg cartons into the compartments, you might have to cut them to size. Then you add the eggs into the egg cartons with the pointy side facing downwards. As the egg turner tilts the eggs will tilt.

It appears to be an old, hacked GQF bator....Model 1202?...or an early Model 1500? The turner trays are not GQF, most likely DIY? As well as the plexiglass door.

Placing a small tub in front of the fan will keep the humidity in the bator. Wicking sponges can also be placed in the tub to help with the evaporation.
(Remember, surface area not the amount of water added, controls the percentage of humidity in the bator).

Heres a pic of the tub GQF uses and of the turner trays that will fit in the setting tray.
