I have seen a couple like that, mostly for sale on craigslist and such. One that I saw was an old hovabator that shape, it may not have been metal but I have seen some metal ones.

Cheers,
Jessie

I have this same one. Works great and holds temp like a champ. Not much info out there on it... In case you still don't know the bottom gets flipped upside down (cardboard down) and the perforated tray sets on the bottom of the base while in use. It all sets inside of itself for storage. Nice design.

Also this company made multiple things including egg scales, baskets, fuel powered brooders, lanterns for incubators, mail boxes, butter churns etc. They went out of business in 1949. The factory is now a fire apparatus company.
