I was here several years ago when I very first got chickens But I guess they dumped my account so I re-registered.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? ... about 23 years ago

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?... 9

(3) What breeds do you have?... Light Brahma

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?... Eggs Meat & they are entertaining

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?... Quilting, Painting, Raku Pottery & I used to teach Wire Wrap Jewelry

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I used to have horses goats rabbits dogs cats & birds. Now I have 1 cat & my chickens

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D ... Known about it for Years, Used to be a member.
 
I probably should have put my chickens are Brahma MIX I just had to get rid of my Huge beautiful roo because he was getting to rough with the hens because he was so much bigger. I just had to put 16 stitches into one of my hens. I really wanted a roo so I could hatch some eggs for spring. Now I am wondering if I should just forget that or maybe get a bantam Brahma. I don't know if that would be to little??????????? Or just forget it this year. BTW the hen is doing really good healing up.
 
My Bantam Cochin rooster, is smaller than his hens, but he does just fine (With his rooster stuff)! Good cluck!
