1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Have had chickens for about 9 years.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
About 50 chickens, but also 5 ducks, 2 muscovies, 15 quail, 3 turkeys
(3) What breeds do you have?
pavlovskaya, Bielefelder, Blue Andalusian, black copper marans, ameraucana, olive eggers and some barnyard mixes, in the chicken department.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Practicality and entertainment, meat and eggs, money and they're funny. I do enjoy providing the community with healthy eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
You name it, I probably do it/ have done it. I'm an artist for starters. I work professionally as a painter and seamstress, also a gardener, carpenter, photographer, baker, etc. Hands on mostly.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Mother to three adult or nearly adult boys. Work for Cheesebrough. Love cats. Not a dog person. Also have sheep and goats (not a goat person either).
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Been on BYC for quite a while. Just trying to get rid of that pesky header.
