Hi! I joined last year and i never introduced myself!
My name is Elizabeth Cowman and i live outside of Monroe, Iowa! I am none as the chicken lady in my family.
I have 18 chickens. 7 Easter Eggers, 4 Barred Rocks, 4 Black Australops, and 3 Speckled sussex. 4 EE are 3 yrs old, and 3 are 3 months old. My 4 BB, 4 BB and 3 SS are 2 months old. i finally persuaded my parents to let me get chickens and i got 10 chickens last August. it's a long story but our 2 dogs go into the coop 2 times and killed 5 Rhode Island Reds and 1 Easter Egger. i got my 11 chicks on April 25, 2017! Besides chickens we have 3 dogs, 2 labrador retrievers (both boys), 1 german shepherd (girl), 5 horses and 25 cats plus a bunch of kittens!
Both of my sisters are horse trainers, as you know i'm the chicken lady, my brother works for a construction company, he pours concrete and builds houses, my dad is a welder, he trains people all over the United States, and my mom is a stay at home mom, and she homeschools us and is awesome!

Most of the first time moms, there kittens don't make it, which is sad!
Right now my sister and i are bottle feeding 2 kittens! We have bottle fed 4 kittens before! It's so fun!
