It has been some time since I’ve been on here. I’ve had chickens on and off since I was 11, I am now 59. Have dog, chickens rabbits and grandbabies. Miss my goats.

Every winter, I declare it will be the last one where I have goats and sheep. Tired of buying and hauling hay; tired of trudging out to the pens, tired of fixing fences.

I have sworn to myself that I will not replace them as they age. But, I KNOW I will miss them when the last of the herd and flock are gone.
