Old tent possibility?

I have an old tent that I had when I was a little kid. I can't fit into anymore, much less use it. So I was wondering if it would be possible to set it up inside a run, cut out the bottom "floor", and use it as a mini-coop for smaller flocks or a few bantam birds or as a shelter for cover or something.

Any thoughts?

Might work for you when you bring a new adult home to make certain it's healthy before putting it in with your flock.

I just posted some pics in a different thread of the 'junior dome tents' I'm using for brooders:

If you plan on raising chicks at some point, maybe you could do something similar with your tent...

Heck, why not? If I have learned anything here at BYC, it's that chickens will live and thrive just about anywhere...

Great brooder NatureFrog!

Must not be very windy where you are lol. I could never get away with that here where I live without having a tent full of chickens flying through the air. Sounds like a really cool idea for relatively wind-free places though, good luck!
