Old treated shed doors

I’m using 4 treated shed doors that are like 5 years old to make a coop and the faded brown wood treatment is almost off but can smell it when I cut the wood

Is this safe for my chickens
I thaight about shou Sufi ban burning the whole thing to waterproof it protect it from bugs and get rid of the treatment ??

I would sand it so the chickens don’t peck at it. Then seal it.

id use boiled linseed oil. it wont flake off. and you can just more on when it starts getting dried out.
