old wives tale?

    Someone told my husband that if u are on city water (chlorine treated) that the chickens eggs will always be infertile? Sounded like poo to me, but my husband swears this guy knows all about chickens.

    That someone is wrong....your right it is poo! I have city water (chlorine treated) and I just hatched chicks from my chickens eggs. They drink the water everyday.

    Yeah, i don't think so. Unless your feeding them straight chlorine but that'll do more than make them infertile

    Maybe your husband misunderstood? Maybe it was a lower fertility rate or something

    NOBODY should be drinking chlorinated water.. including chickens. Nasty, poisonous, carcinogenic stuff.
