Old Wooden Playhouse Coop Conversion in Progress- Picture Heavy and more to come!

Looks great so far! you are so lucky you have such an awesome window collection, we had to scour all the antique shops to get ours.(we used them in both the duck and chicken coops)

I love this! I am a big fan of recycling and converted my own wooden play house tower into a chicken coop. Yours is looking good and will turn out great I bet!

Oh, I just took a look at your playhouse coop! It's wonderful! I had a tall play structure like that one that I originally planned on using but we decided to get too many chickens so we had to go bigger.

I am a bit of a craigslist addict, and have an app on my phone that I can program searches into that will alert me when things fitting my search come on the free section. Haha! Portland is amazing for things like that though, Craigslist is really widely used here, I know it's not in other places. I got a few at different shops over the past couple years when I found really unique ones, but most of them were free.

So today I got the rest of the subfloor put in, and am working on cutting lumber for the inside of the window frames so we can prepare the walls for plywood. It's WAY too hot to be out there right now though so I'm hiding inside where it's only 80 degrees instead of 100! Haha!

Got the windows caulked(though a few spots need a bit more) and we're in the process of putting in the cork flooring. We're realizing as were putting the flooring in that stuff may soak into the seams between pieces, so we may end up getting sheet vinyl flooring and putting that in. The cork flooring we got free for a bathroom reno that never got used, so it's not a waste of money to just lay sheet flooring over it.

We're getting the last of the flooring put in as I type (the husbands home to help today! Yay!) and were beginning to put the wall boards in. It's going! Slowly, but it's going!

We had to add a makeshift roof since it's raining today (yesterday was 102 degrees and it's like 65 today and raining. The PNW is weird) and of course it stopped raining right after. *eyeroll*

Here is the accomplishment of today. Two walls have paneling, and a third is mostly done. The floors are in, but we're planning on putting sheet vinyl over them to make them more waterproof.

And here is our dog Juno enjoying "her new house.."

Until we told her that it was FOR THE CHICKENS.

"Those chickens get their own HOUSE????? "

Hahahahahaha!

Looking good! Ha ha at your dog, our cats moved into ours while we were building it, they were quite disappointed when they got kicked out and the chickens moved in and they can't find a way to get in with them, lol.
