Older birds and Marek's? Limping roo

Do birds that are almost two years old get Marek's???

I need to find out if he was vaccinated...but one of my nicest show roos is limping and I'm freaking out.

When I picked him up to examine him, he went crazy and got himself all worked up...then started gasping like I was suffocating him. I am so worried. His foot looks red and irritated on the top where the feathers are coming in. Something is definitely wrong just based on his behavior.

Any ideas or input? Of course, this is one of my sons bantam Cochin rood he was due to show in 4-H this week!!! Ugh!

Please help me save him...not sure what to do first. So i tend to run in circles and panic!

I had chickens get this and it is difficult to cure. I give them tylan 200 1 cc for them to swallow if big bird. A banty i give 1/2cc and 1 cc of penicillin just under the skin on the breast. I then give tylan everyday for at least 3 days then every other day till quits limping. Some have gotten over it and some don't. good luck
