Older Chicken Stopped Roosting Using Nesting box

My older rescue chicken (3 yrs?) has been roosting since we built the coop. Her pal, also a rescue Legghorn, died last week. We also have two pullets I got several months ago. They all roosted together in a routine order, with her pal beside her. Now she won't roost and sleeps in a nesting box. She otherwise seems fine. Suggestions??? I'm a newbie and was pretty upended by the death of her pal, so maybe I'm just anxious. Thanks!

She sounds sad by the loss of her pal. Give her a week or two then she should be back to normal
