I have a 7 year-old bantam hen that repeatedly lays soft shelled eggs. We tried A D E vitamins which didn't help. She has free access to calcium so I doubt it's that. She free ranges and is in perfect health otherwise. Anyone experience this. It's not a one off, the eggs are always soft. I always consult vets first, but they are stumped too, and believe it could possibly be an age related issue.
