I have a 20 wk old EE roo that I would eventually like to integrate into a flock of younger pullets that are 15 weeks old. The pullets had a rough start to life (cramped conditions, not enough food/water, no daylight in the coop---purchased and ended up w/cocci outbreak), so I think they are a bit small for 15 week olds. Anyway, I am going to put the roo in a cage in their coop to acclimate, but I'm nervous about letting him in with them. What should I expect, tolerate, mediate? Should I wait until the pullets are older? Thank you so much for helping me with this!
