Olive Egger Cockerel?

These guys are both about 6 weeks old. I’m pretty sure the little black one is a pullet and guessing from the giant comb that the other one is a cockerel. Just want to confirm before rehoming him(?) since we can’t have roosters. The black is a legbar/marans and the tan one is a legbar/welsummer. If you need any other pictures, I can attempt to take some tomorrow. These guys are pretty flighty so it’s hard getting decent pictures since they panic or hide.

That is definitely a cockeral with that big pink comb at 6 weeks old. The black looks like a pullet.

Your assessment is spot on... One pullet, one cockerel. Sorry you have to deal with rehoming... At least you have a cool olive egger pullet with the darker chick.

Thankfully I have someone interested already! I’m holding onto him for a bit so the little dark one has a buddy her size, but after that it sounds like he may have a good home with an older lady who has like 200 hens and let’s them all free range her giant property. Sounds like a pretty good home! But I am super excited at least one is a pullet. Can’t wait to see what the eggs look like.

Thanks for the reply! He got a pretty good comb going right away at 2 weeks or so (that’s him in the picture), but I had been holding out a tiny shred of hope. He’s already protecting the dark one from the big ladies, so I bet he’s going to be a great rooster for his new owner/ladies!
