Olive egger eggs are very tough to crack

I have a 1st gen olive egger from a Black Copper Marans and Americana. She lays about 4 green eggs a week since the end of October. The eggs are very hard to open but its not the shell its the membrane. The shell cracks like normal but then the membrane is so tough to open to allow the egg contents to come out. Is this something abyone else has experienced with these birds?

I have noticed that olive eggs are typically very hard shelled, I think I've also noticed that the membranes are tough. IMO, sign of good quality cell structure. Good health.

A lot of my eggs have a good strong membrane...not just the olive ones.
.....and/but I don't have any Marans or Ameraucana.....just Wellie and EE.

I love seeing an egg with good internal structure. Shows that my flock is getting their needs met.
