Tough membrane

Hi! we have 4 silkie hens, and one polish bantam, one d'uccle and one lavender ameraucana, the last 3 are all the same age. The green Ameraucana eggs all have a membrane so tough it doesn't break on the side of a pan, the shell will break off and I have to stab the membrane with my thumb. They all have the same diet. Is this normal for the breed?
i've given the eggs to people and they comment on the tough membranes lol

Unlikely it's a breed thing, it's just how her eggs are. Maybe keep those for your own usage since it's a known issue?
