Olives OK?

I know the salt is a concern. I have a bunch of black olives left over. If I put them in the compost, the chickens are bound to get some. Will this be OK?

Throw one out and see if they'll eat it. If not then compost away.

I've thrown a lot of things over the hen yard fence over the years, but I can't recall ever having given them olives.

as long as it is not a ton of them I wouldnt worry.

We do every once in a while. We only have a few regulars who like them though, so ultimately, we only hand out a few.

Mine get olives at most once a week and they eat leftover pits! I put them on the compost but the hens get to it and eat the pits.
