Omega-3 eggs??

Free ranging your birds and giving them dark leafy greens will increase the omegas in the eggs. Flaxseed works, but that seems expensive. Fishmeal in another way.

There is feed additive or you can give them a small amount of this product per day comes in a small bag c an't think wants its called but have seen it in the feed store.

Kickin' Chicken is one brand of feed additive. There is another sold in a gold bag that is pretty pricey. It's $20 or so, and that would only supply my small flock of 8 birds for a month. Add that to their organic feed bill, and it just isn't worth it.

My dad loves to go salmon fishing, so I asked him to save me the guts, heads, and anything else without small bones. I plan on feeding them a little of the salmon leftovers each week to add healthy fats and protein to their diet.

Are you doing this so that the eggs you eat would be healthier? Instead, why not take the flax seed yourself, let your birds have the bugs and grasses they find free ranging (enough O3's in grass for a chicken to be healthy and happy).
