Omega 3 laying pellets/crumbles

Any thoughts on whether it's worth the extra money to buy the Omega 3 feeds for laying hens? Does it improve the yolk and help the chickens? Also, does it have any effect on the hatchlings if the eggs are hatched?

Its really up to you, but if your chickens forage they should be getting natural Omega 3 from the plants and insects they feed on. And its free!

Thanks Gita, I have a tractor I put them in sometimes, but right now I have pullets in there. Layers are in a large coop, so I might try the Omega 3 feed. I have young hens and their yolks look a little pale to me compared to my brothers free range chickens.
