Omega 3 supplement?

I bought a bag of stuff to mix in with the layer crumbles that is supposed to make the eggs enriched with Omega 3. Does anyone else do this? Or does anyone know if this supplement is a just another way Tractor Supply is trying to separate me from my money? If the stuff actually works to make healthier eggs for my family that's great, but I don't want to be wasting my money on something that makes no difference.

I have also been thinking about adding an omega 3 supplement. I have read that you can feed them flax seed for the omega 3 and also canola oil for omega 6. I don't know the proportions or how much to feed, but you can google it. I think Purina makes a feed with omega 3?

was it this Kickin' Chicken stuff? I got a free sample from TSC. I've used some and still have some left. Don't know if it makes a difference in egg quality.
