I prefer to allow it to set up first. Apple dumplings are fair game as soon as they come out of the oven.

Yes. The roommates have also eaten some. They are delicious, but very rich. I have lots for tomorrow. And tomorrow's tomorrow. I might see how well they freeze.

Edit: Next time - half batch. Maybe quarter batch.

I never tried freezing them. I think freezing the prepared cookies and only baking small batches might work better.

I refuse to make them unless there are lots of people around to share with.

You're probably right. Cookie dough does freeze better than cookies.
